Customer Review: Great Shower Head for those looking to save water

I agree 100% with Oliver's review above so I am going to copy and paste it here:
What can I say. It's a shower head ;-). The lever toggles between 1.8 gallons per minute and 2.5 GPM. We leave it at 1.8 all the time since there isn't much difference to the 2.5 GPM setting. The shower feels good and not 'thin' as the really cheapy/stingy showerheads from the past - you know the kind: cone shaped and not much more water than an outdoor mister you find in the outdoor seating section at restaurants. At the same time, don't expect the same experience as a 4-5 GPM head. In our opinion a small sacrifice to make to conserve water.
Only thing I would add is that the chrome ring around the black round face is actually plastic, not metal. I think the rest of the shower head is metal if I remember correctly. Looks good though which was mostly why I bought it, that and to save water. Yes, not quite as much water as a 4-5 GPM head, but I still enjoy my showers.

Our original showerhead was 10 years old and clogged so we purchased a 1.6 gpm replacement. Big mistake. The water pressure was so weak that it would barely rinse the soap off. We were hesitant to purchase another "water saving" showerhead but after reading the good reviews on Amazon about this one we bought it. It works as well or better than the original. The water pressure is just the way we like it but not too hard and it has a nice spray pattern. The adjustable water setting is a nice feature but we just leave it on the high setting. Installation was a breeze. Just screw it on but make sure you use Teflon tape on the threads of the supply pipe. I know how hard it is to purchase something on faith but i think most people will be happy with this showerhead.

I just moved from an apartment (with free water) to a house.
The shower in my old apartment was nice, I like having the feeling of a crapload of water running all over me - and I really got used to it.
I moved into this house and it came with a generic showerhead and less water pressure. Since I have to pay utilities, and should probably care a little more about water consumption, I decided to look into this product to get that feeling of a lot of water (from the previous place).
This thing works perfect -- as advertised. It won't mystically insert more water volume, but it does use air - so it feels like you're getting a lot more water than previous. There's the adjustment knob to reduce the pressure, but I leave it on max - and have been happy with it. If you're looking for the feeling of more water in the shower (and you don't want to drain a lake to do it) - this product is great.

I have been putting up with relatively low water pressure for several years in my upstairs showers. I tried different shower heads but was always disappointed with the results. Next I investigated different solutions and found them to be way too much to invest for a "Hotel" shower experience.
Then I stumbled on this Delta water amplifying shower head and have found it to be well worth it. Initially I purchased only one to test it out, but after a couple of weeks decided to get another one for the other bathroom.
My children, with long hair and longer showers love the way this works! The pressure is not too hard, but a significant improvement!! Have not had them long enough to vouch for the reduction in the amount of water used, but will trust that the manufacturer knows what they are claiming.
Even if they were wrong and my water usage stays the same or goes up a little, it is well worth the risk.

I live in a basement apartment and had an old shower head with terrible water pressure. I had maintenance look at it after it got unbearable and they said that if I wanted to purchase my own high-pressure shower head they'd be happy to install it for me. I refused to purchase one of those $100+ shower heads with millions of settings, I just wanted a simple shower head that had adequate water pressure. I saw that this shower head was highly rated and reasonably priced and decided to give it a try. The difference is night and day. I have gone from a drizzle to a waterfall. There are two settings on this shower head, I alternate between the heavy and standard setting. The heavy setting is great but can sting just a little bit at times. Overall, this shower head has improved my shower experience. I even go to the gym more often so I can take an extra shower... so this shower head has indirectly made me lose weight too!
