Tools and Hardware Reviews of Delta Faucet 75152 Water Amplifying Adjustable Showerhead with H2OKINETIC Technology, Chrome

Customer Review: Excellent showerhead
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a very well designed product. It was purchased to replace a Waterpik showerhead that had outlived its usefulness. The Delta Fluidics showerhead looks substantial when you take it out of the package, and does not feel cheap at alll. Certainly not twenty-five dol lars cheap.

It installed in 25 seconds, with no leaks or other issues.

The real magic is to turn this thing on and get under it. It works like a charm! I have pretty low pressure in my upstairs bathroom, and this thing is like a miracle worker, creating a great spray that's a great mixture of power and coverage.

I wound up not using it on the high power setting, it was too "diffused" with aeration. The lower setting was plenty powerful. As noted above, plenty of coverage and good power. It's the first "aerated" showerhead that I've used which hasn't been slightly stinging or uncomfortable to be under for an extended amount of time.

Hard to believe that it's rated as a 1.8gpm flow. I highly recommend this product.

Customer Review: A fine alternative to the "rain shower" low flow heads
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased two different <2 gpm showerheads in the last month in a quest to save a little money by cutting down my family's hot water usage. Speaking just to this one, the Delta, the first thing I did was cut the top off a 1-gallon water jug and used a stop watch to confirm the flow. It took about 35 seconds to fill up the jug on the low flow setting which works out to about 1.7gpm - real close to the published rating. On high flow, it took around 21 seconds, which calculates to 2.85gpm.

IMHO the low flow setting is sufficient for me, including rinsing the shampoo out of my hair. I have replaced a 4.0 and 3.0 gpm showerhead in my home now and I would say the quality of shower experience is about the same with the latest generation of "amplifying" showerheads as I felt I got from the old high flow heads. My only complaint is that the cheap showerheads never include teflon tape, you have to use your own (if you have it) or buy a roll for a couple bucks at the hardware store to ensure a leak-free connection.

Customer Review: Great shower head!
Summary: 5 Stars

When my girlfriend and I moved into our new apartment, the old shower head that was there was pathetic. It barely put out any water, and was very prone to producing sudden, uncomfortable temperature changes. After a little searching we decided to try this puppy. It installed quickly and easily (all you need is some Teflon tape and a pair of pliers), and it completely floored us upon first use! The water pressure is great; it's as strong as it could be without getting that unpleasant "stinging" feeling of some shower heads. Additionally, the aforementioned temperature fluctuations appear to have been virtually eliminated with this shower head (we hypothesize that it's because small pockets of changes in water temperature are masked by the greater overall water flow). Somewhat disappointingly, we both prefer the 2.5 GPM setting to the 1.85 GPM setting, but this is not the shower head's fault (rather, it's to be expected), and the 1.85 GPM setting is still quite good. Overall, a wonderful shower head--best $25 I ever spent!

Customer Review: Excelent product
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently purchased this product to replace a shower head that was using excessive water and found it to be a fantastic alternative. The shower head I had was a german product that I was having an issue with my wife and I taking consecutive showers in the morning. I could not understand, in our new house, how I was emptying a 50Gallon hot water tank (previous owners ran two 50 gallons in series). I finally took a bucket to the current system an found that it was spraying at a 6 gallon/min rate. though this felt great in the morning it was draining the one hot water tank in 8 min. I was skeptical that a 1.6 rate head would be acceptable to us but it is. though I generally have the adjustment triger at the higher flow of 2.5 the turned down setting is extreamly usable. I figure I have cut my water usage by 40% and could get away with the 1.6 setting after the memory of 6.0 is gone. Great product. I bought a competitors product at the same time and tryed both and this one wins hands down.

Customer Review: It's a MIRACLE!
Summary: 5 Stars

This shower head is definitely a miracle worker! I live in an older house that has long suffered from lower water pressure. This becomes even worse during the summer when we open up the outdoor water lines to use the sprinkler system. Even though the sprinklers are off, it still affects the whole system.

The drop in pressure wasn't a huge deal for me given my short hair. But it was a huge issue for my fiance with her thick, long, hair. After we bought this shower head, her showers are much faster because she can rinse her hair much more easily. Even on the lower flow setting there is enough pressure. It also feels pleasant having the larger water droplets caused by the H20KINETIC technology.

Other people have commented on the lack of direction as to which setting is which. At least on mine, the lower flow setting has the side bar turned toward the water inlet. I can tell a difference between the two although there is not that much of a difference.
