Tools and Hardware Reviews of Delta Faucet 75152 Water Amplifying Adjustable Showerhead with H2OKINETIC Technology, Chrome

Customer Review: Perfect For Low Pressure
Summary: 5 Stars

We have well water that is shared with our neighbors, A long time ago our house and our neighbors was one family and so they shared a large well. Over time our neighbors had added another bathroom and other water systems that kind of took pressure away from our house. The first shower head we had broke and we were going to replace it, but it just broke at the wrong time and all the hardware stores in my area were closed for the night and so went down to our local Shaws and they had one, at least to get by a couple days anyways. It worked, it sucked, the stream was about the size for your first.

So I started looking for a good shower head for low pressure systems. I came across this and a had read some reviews for people who had added second bathrooms and said it had low pressure got this shower head and had amazing pressure out of it. So I said what the heck, I'll give it try and I am glad I bought it.

Installed it in about 30 seconds, turned it on, let the pressure build up for a minute and it didn't seem like much, so I wasn't impressed at the time, but I had to try it so I got in the shower and I was truly amazed how much pressure that was. It was on the 1.8gpm, but switched it to the 2.5gpm and it was good difference in pressure, not much, but for the little pressure we have, it's better than hardly any pressure.

The temporary shower head I had in it took me longer to get out of the shower, this shower head, however, was less time to take a shower, but you want to stay longer because it just feels so good. It feels like beads hitting you, it just feels good. It really does feel like a hot waterfall. After when I was done taking a shower my chest was all red. That's how much pressure is coming out of that on a low pressure system.

Awesome shower head! Go buy it now, you will love it.

Customer Review: A Great Faucet
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm always interested in "green" products that work well and are affordable. This faucet meets both criteria.

I received a free low-flow showerhead at a farmers market a few months ago and it worked okay, but it lacked the power of my old showerhead. Because of this I decided to research low-flow showerheads on Amazon and this Delta faucet had the best reviews and a great price so I purchased 3 - one for each of the shower/tubs in our home.

PROS

- They were easy to install. Just wrapped the threads with a bit of teflon tape and hand-tightened the showerhead. No leaks or any other problems.

- Not noisy. Some of the other posters mentioned that the showerhead was uncomfortably loud. We have high water pressure in our home and I haven't noticed any extra loudness from this showerhead and no one has complained. They sound like a shower - nothing more, nothing less.

- Plenty of water pressure. Taking a nice invigorating shower is one of my few vices and I like a nice powerful stream of water and the Delta didn't disappoint. It has plenty of power on the 2.6 gallon setting, but I didn't like the lower setting. My wife, on the other hand, thought the 2.6 gallon setting was a bit "needly" and she prefers the lower setting or to lower the water volume using the shower controls.

- Plenty of coverage. Some people have said it has too much coverage and sprays all over the place and I might agree but it's just fine in our glass-enclosed shower. It rinses soap just fine and doesn't cool off too much before it hits you.

CONS

- None that I've found yet. I could have multiple massage options or something like that, but it's very good as-is.

Highly recommended.

Customer Review: Less water used, no more cold showers, no more soaked feet, great price
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought this showerhead after buying our house a few months back. Based on the reviews here, we were hopeful that it could help us cut down our water bill. We installed it very easily, using a few dabs of plumber's adhesive from Home Depot to make sure the seal on the screwed in part was tight. We didn't have any problems with figuring out which setting was high or low pressure, since it sounded and felt different. If we were confused, I guess we could have just tested it by placing a bucket under it for 5 seconds with each setting and saw which released more water. When we first opened the box, it did look very light and plasticky, which was a little worrisome. But it looks just fine installed, and it's actually been great to use. Our old massager Waterpik head was not only a total water waster, but it was so heavy that gradually it couldn't hold itself up, and it would prop itself on the shower caddy. I personally prefer the lighter shower feel, since it still seems plenty strong, but it's nice that you can choose since guests might prefer a stronger jet.

***Two total bonuses****
1) Our house and bathroom were built in the 30's and we've had problems with the drain not being fast enough for how strong the previous showerhead was, so we'd wind up with soaking feet at the end of our showers (not pleasant, hard to feel like you got really clean with feet soaking in standing water); after this was installed, I've had NO problems with drainage
2) I can now take a whole, slow shower without the hot water running out. This will be great for when guests come over Christmas especially. I bet I'll also save on water heating costs.

The price is great, and the product exceeded my expectations!

Customer Review: The Rime of the Ancient Shower Head (Abridged)
Summary: 5 Stars

Day after day, day after day,
We bathed without emotion
As boring as a dripping tap
Just draining to the ocean

Not hot nor cold, could be controlled
Our shower was the worst
It either kept the water in
Or loosed it in a burst
"Twas time, it was, to make a change
"cos this old one is cursed

[The purchase is made, the Delta Amplifying Shower Head is installed]

We put thread tape around the threads
And tightened easily
And from the first the torrent burst
And filled us all with glee

Water, water, everywhere
Much easier than you'd think
Water, water everywhere
Drops big enough to drink

Ah! Well-a-day! What happy looks
Had I from old and young
Our ancient cross, our Albatross
Into the trash was flung

Farewell, farewell, but this I tell
To thee my dear house guest
If you should stay with me today
Our shower is the best.

Pros:

1. Aesthetically pleasing
2. Lifetime Warranty
3. Easy to install - only thread tape needed (not included)
4. Uses less water without sacrificing pressure
5. Has two settings - the water-saving 1.85 gpm and the high volume 2.5 gpm
6. Water pressure feels more powerful
7. Spray holes don't need cleaning
8. Affordable, and great value for money

Cons:

1. People don't want to come out of the shower - ever! (Can cause chronic lateness)
2. Now I have to go buy these for every shower in the house

Customer Review: Brilliant low-flow option
Summary: 5 Stars

I live in a large apartment in New York on a high floor. My previous shower head was simply abysmal. Uneven flow, poor coverage, lousy pressure, etc.

I decided that a change was in order, did some research, found this shower head, and was convinced by the positive reviews. I bought it along with a roll of teflon tape.

It has made all the difference in the world! Installation was simple. I removed the old shower head (which required a clamp wrench), wrapped three or four layers of tape around the threads, and simply screwed the new head on, using a wrench to really get a tight seal.

This head performs well in every area. Coverage is fantastic. Instead of a ring, it gives equal coverage over a good-sized area. The pressure is phenomenal, even on the low-flow setting. In fact, with the high-flow setting, it had so much pressure that I couldn't keep my shower curtain from billowing inward. It wasn't painful to shower with, but I just couldn't deal with the billowing. Even so, the low-flow setting is more than strong enough. I can rinse the shampoo out of my hair quickly and completely.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone. I am renting at the moment, and when I move out I'm taking this shower head with me wherever I head to next.

As a side note, other posters have said they are unclear which switch setting is the low-flow. If the switch is pointing forward (towards the nozzle), it's on the regular 2.5-gallon setting. If it is pointing backwards (towards the wall), then it's on the low-flow 1.8-gallon setting.
