Customer Review: The Alson/Delta guys got this one RIGHT!

This shower head installed in less than a minute. No Teflon tape needed for my install and it has been up and running for a month now. It has not leaked a DROP around the junction with the water pipe coming into the shower from the wall.
It is hard for me to believe that in its water saving mode it is passing only 1.85 gallons per minute! It FEELS like so much more!
I've used many various head designs in the past. I've generally preferred the designs made of metal. This one is predominately plastic. However, I can't argue with the performance so far. The four stream water/air mixture it emits feels teriffic and does a fantastic job getting the shampoo residue out of my longish hair. It gets a big thumb's up from my kinky haired wife too. Even her "Afro" rinses clean in just a few seconds.
It does a nice job in "steaming" up the tile shower cove in my downstairs bathroom.
The town's water tower is located down the street within a few hundred yards so my water pressure is a bit higher than normal. Some complain of this unit's spray stinging them. Not so in my experience. It feels just about right. There is only a slight variance in the feel of the head's two different streams when using its two position control. Adjust it to one's own preference. I prefer the full blast 2.5 GPM setting. The switching mechanism feels sturdy and works effortlessly even when in use. I would expect it to last.
The last Water Pik head I used prior to buying the 75152 developed unsightly calcium/lime deposits starting after a year or so. As time passed switching it from one setting to another took increasing effort on my part. It will be interesting seeing how this less complex and vastly cheaper unit fares as it ages. Maybe I can post a follow-up in 2011!
In conclusion.... Great value for the money spent. Why pay more for anything else? Simplicity has its virtues and the 75152 is definitely one of the more basic designs available in terms of moving parts... meaning the absence thereof. And don't forget... The 75152 comes with a lifetime warranty!
There are LOTS of great shower head designs out there. Read the 75152'2 numerous reviews..... Then believe the best of them! I don't regret this purchase and I suspect you won't either!
