One of Delta?s new ShopMaster line, this 14.4-volt drill/driver?s packing power with everyday affordability. The keyless chuck makes bit changes quick and easy, and a 20-position adjustable clutch lets you match torque with the job at hand, each specific application, and avoid screw stripping. An ergonomically designed rubber grip absorbs shock and feels great in hand, and screwdriver bit clips on each side of the tool are a nice touch, too. There?s a built-in bubble level for extra accuracy, though we found it a little hard to read. Extended run-time batteries charge up again in just an hour. The ShopMaster line is really intended for the do-it-yourselfer and hobby woodworker, and this model is perfect for both. I have two good quality corded drills but I really had a need for a cordless, but no interest in spending the $$ for a really good one. I needed something that would do the job for not a lot of money, and this Delta fit the bill.I compared this against a 18v Chinese generic "MIT" for half the price, and this Delta is better in every way, from the quality of the motor to the power to the battery. You can pay 3x more for Delta's non-entry level model, or 4x+ for DeWalt, but this is perfect for my needs, and can't be beat for the price.
