The DELTA 36-717B Left Tilt Hybrid Saw will handle heavy loads with its commercial 30-inch Biesemeyer Fence System and side table board. The large 54 x 27-inch table stands 33-3/4 inches tall for comfortable cutting with less strain on your part. The heavy-duty 1-3/4 HP, 120/240V motor powers the 10-inch saw at speeds reaching 3,000 RPM. Fast cuts aren't all that the 36-717B is capable of performing. This hybrid saw features 45 and 90 degree bevel adjustable bevel stops and deluxe miter gauge for easy angled cuts. All the complaints I read about manufacturing defects and inaccurate machining didn't materialize on my machine. First, The crate was fine. It was delivered by Amazon early. The delivery guys even laid it on its size to get it off the truck. No problems on being shipped securely. The belt that runs the blade was easy, no simple to put on. The wings on the table top were simple to put on. The hardest thing to install was the biesemeyer fence was the hardest thing and took the longest to install. I was done in under 3 hours. The saw blade is cheap but they always sell a cheap blade with a saw. Remember, this is not a production saw. Keeping that in mind, it is a great deal out of the box for the price! The only adjustment I had to make was a set screw on the fence to align it with the blade. You do have to remember you are cutting wood and not machining with great precision down to .0001 tolerances. I have used it for 3 weeks every day and every thing seems to be staying where it should. The motor is powerful even on 110v. The panic stop switch some times falls off if you brush against it. I would buy it again if I was in the market.
