Designed for professional grade use, The DELTA 15-233 3/4 HP 15-inch Floor Drill Press comes with a massive 2-inch diameter quill, extra large spindle bearings, and a spindle pulley that are supported by four over-sized, pre-loaded, lubricated-for-life ball bearings for a long, maintenance-free life and maximum pressure at the drill point. This drill press' test-proven speed range provides a true 10-to-1 speed ratio, which means you'll get the exact speed you need for every drilling job on any material--including 450-to-4,700 RPM with a 1,725 RPM motor and 300-to-3,100 RPM with an 1,140 RPM motor. Its efficient variable-speed drive lets you select any spindle speed instantly while the machine is running. A self-locking cam, plus a "snubber" feature hold speed settings constant under all load conditions. Proper belt tension is automatically maintained for full power transmission. A quick and easy belt tension release is provided by the pivoting motor mounting plate, which has a reverse, self-locking taper on the spring-loaded, rubber-tipped plunger that quickly restores correct belt tension. An extra long quill travel provides the extra depth you need for deep hole jobs like skip and gang drilling while also providing the extra stroke required for clearing jigs and fixtures. This press' 3-phase, 3/4 HP motor comes with versatile motor control--including a 24-volt push button station, a magnetic starter, transformer, and 3-leg overload protection.Drill Presses
